Polyoxymethylene dimethyl ethers (PODE/DMMn) are a class of low-molecular-weight acetal oligomers. They are colorless or pale yellow, volatile, flammable liquids with a slight ether odor at room temperature and pressure.

Clean Diesel Blending Component (Primary Use)
As an eco-friendly diesel additive, it has an extremely high cetane number and high oxygen content. Adding 10%–20% to diesel without engine modification can significantly reduce soot and NOₓ emissions, while improving combustion efficiency and cold start performance.
Eco-Friendly Industrial Solvent
As a sulfur-free, aromatic-free green solvent, it can replace highly toxic solvents such as toluene and xylene, and is widely used in coatings, inks, pesticides, adhesives, metal cleaning agents, and other fields.
Other Chemical Applications
They can be used to prepare high-performance polymers and serve as environmentally friendly additives to effectively improve the oxidation stability and anti-wear properties of oil products.
